Ive spent six hours trying to get my new trackir 5 to work but no luck. Ill spend another hour then return it for refund. Problem is it doesn't work. When I connect it to FSX it freezes after a few seconds then crashes...I then check the task manager and the CPU is totally bogged down showing Fsx cpu usage 87% and trackir usage 13%. This totally overwhelms my powerful computer. I guess this forum is not monitored by support on weekends. Very frustrated with this 150.00 product!

I will admit, sometimes it is tough to get some trackers to work.I had a problem with my 3, but the guys here helped me out. With so many different computers out there, it might be a challenge!! But dont give up on it, once you use it, you cant stop using it.
The forums are great, they probably take the weekend off, cant say i blame them.
What software did you install?
What are your computer specs? mobo,ect.
Dont take it back just yet, let one of the TrackIr admins help you, they will fix you up

ISSUE RESOLVED! The problem was the Saitek BLP panel. When this is plugged in with Trackir 5 it causes FSX to use 87% of the CPU at all times so crashes quickly.
I unplugged the BLP and then started Trackir 5 and all is good now! The other panels don't seem to be a problem.
