Choosing template by default

Post by Falconeye »

Hi,

I would like to choose the slow template as default template for a profile but everytime I am launching TIR software, it is on "one to one". How can I do to be always on "slow" when launching TIR software ?

Another question, I would like TIR software to keep its window size when closed. How can I do ? Sometimes, the window is full screen and sometimes, verry very small (I am on Windows 8)

Thanks

Hi Falconeye,

You cannot set which template will be selected by default, upon opening the software.

But, keep in mind that the "templates" do not have an impact on the motion just by being active in their dropdown menu. They are there as preset curves, which can be saved and applied to the curves of a specific profile. They're basically shortcuts to modifying your profile. But the profile itself is what actually impacts the motion.

So, while the software won't remember what template is active in the dropdown, even if it DID remember this, it wouldn't have an impact on the motion.

These screenshots might help clarify the distinction between profiles and templates:

If you like the "slow" template curve, what I imagine you'll probably want to do is to create a new Profile, then edit the profile curves for each axis. In doing so, you can map the "slow" template to each axis curve. Then you can save the profile, associate it with whatever games you want (or check it to load exclusively), and you should have a profile that's to your liking, which will load with the software every time you start it up.

Ok, it's clear, thanks for your exlplanation, templates are just used to map our curves profile on it, not to give more or less movement.

Thnaks again.
