Hahah, yes Axel I read where some call it 'cheatIR', namely RBJ...which is really funny seeing how he loves trim on a slider so much

Im very excited about getting it, especially since the great and very positive reaction the developers of it had with FB. I used to try and fly and move the mouse around just to kinda daydream about what having the view follow my eye/head movement would be like. Heck last night I even re-installed FS 2002 just to check out the pan view in that sim again.

Well, it shipped yesterday so hopefully Ill have it in my greedy paws by next week!

Kinjari & Axel all the setting up you are doing for it too work in IL2 will all be forgotton soon and you wont have to mees with settings too much as it will be 100% better as Jim has pointed out.

When IL FB comes out Absolute support will change the way us old TIR adoptees use TIR in IL2 (except for DNME who is awsome with it as it is he he) and it will be much better for the new users who are taking up the TIR call. It will be easier to configure and use right out of the box much as it is with FS2002 & BOB and also now EECH which all have Absolute TIR support built in now.

Its great too see this community growing and the number off post here now make a vist to these forums once a day insted of every other day.

Well once Forgotten Battles arrives it will be hard to call it 'cheatIR' when there is built in support in the game

Very simple way to look at Padlock Vs TrackIR.

TrackIR = Human controls view

Padlock = Computer controls view

Now which is a cheat? You doing it or the computer doing it for you?

If you were in a real plane, would a computer control where you head looks?

LOL Halstead I know it's a winnIR already, great support (though still waiting on that mail about my order ) with plenty of updates and a company very pro-active about promoting their product.

Charlie> You're preaching to the converted Never considered it a cheat, was amused to see it come up to be honest. Many squads don't allow padlock but the TrackIR is far from cheating, it's not like the TIR is not widely available to anyone. To call the TIR a cheat device is like saying a joystick is a cheat device because some can only play with keys
