120 mb?? You film that in 35mm?

To big for 6 mins, i'm sure that can be brought down an awful lot.
It's a quicktime movie so i cant play it, i refuse to install that horrible stuff on my machine but thanks for trying.

It would have been so nice to of seen FB and TIR 'working' as well.

DivX is so mainstream now, I code everything with it. It really keeps the file size down. www.divx.com if you dont have the Codecs.

FB Movie featuring TrackIR

Post by BBQ »

I made this vid (120mb) showcasing the TrackIR in enhanced mode--if anyone wants to take a look--over 6 minutes of footage

TrackIR works wonderfully--though I don't quite understand the AutoLoad feature--does that mean everytime you run FB, that trackIR automatically starts and loads the profile you have associated with the game? Or does it mean you have to have TrackIR already on, and when you launch FB, it auto loads the profile?

Anyway, here's the link to the movie! http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/fligh ... Review.mov

Feel free to re-encode it all you like--I'm at work right now though--and can't do it myself (nor am I very good at choosing the right settings within the CODEC.)

HotDog,

I'm using my digital Camcorder--when plugged into S-video out of my Geforce card, windows thinks it is another monitor. Then, I simply hit record on the miniDV camcorder when I want to start recording--it then records it to tape.

When I'm done recording, I firewire the raw, uncompressed footage back onto the computer as an avi file.

There is really no way to do it without external equipment--there are software solutions, but they take forever, generally look like crap, and end up being slideshows.
