Camera cable

Due to my pet bird deciding that the usb cable for my trackir5 camera would be a great chew toy, I now need to repair it. Are there any specific requirements for this cable.

I noticed the cable it came with is shielded. Do i need to make sure I use another shielded cable, or am I able to use any usb cabling. Does it use standard USB pin layouts per wire colouring?

Any other information you feel I may require to repair my unit would also be appreciated.
