Amount of head movement

Post by Jaeger »

Thanks to Hotdognz's post and his recomended settings, I now have TIR working well in IL2 FB. Thanks Hotdognz.

One thing I can't seem to find is a way to reduce the amount of head movement needed to pan around. I'm starting to get a soar neck.

Is there a way I can adjust this?

S! and Thanks in advance.

Hello:

Yes, you just want to "click here to customize" and then lower the Speed setting. That should do the trick.

Lower? Oh, ok. I thought it would be higher. Thanks.

Question though. I have been using the "Smooth" setting and like it alot. Once I open the "click here to customize", I'll no longer be on Smooth will I?

And another. Since I've had the 2.0 version (Win98 SE) I've been getting "Ileagal operation" messages. Not always, but enough. Never had that with the earlier versions. I've uninstalled, re-down loaded and re-installed several times with no change. Any Idea what thats about?

here's my current setup. (note: I plan on upgrading to WinXp Pro and new 1 gig of memory at the the end of the week.)

Windows 98 SE
512 MB DDR
XP 2200
Asus A7V333
80 gig 72000 rpm HD
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
Geforce3 Ti 500, 41.09 Drivers.
DX 9

Thanks In advance.

When you custimize, you will not be in smooth mode. You can actually customize yours to be like smooth, same type curve, but lower the amount of head movement. Do the custom feature, ungroup your edit points, and try these settings. It is a small deadband with agressive speed after that. Not much head movement required at all....

Group Point / Speed Setting
0/0
2/0
5/0
10/4
20/13
30/25
40/33
50/40
