Can I adjust the virtual pivot point of the track clip
Can I adjust the virtual pivot point of the track clip
I have the track clip mounted on top of my headphones and because of this when I move my head left and right the software interprets this as also moving forward and back. This is because it thinks the track clip is positioned in front of my face rather on top of my head. Is there any way to move this virtual pivot to get it calibrated correctly?

Hello yorkb,
Are you using the TrackClip PRO or the TrackClip that is designed to go on a hat? Would you be able to load a picture of how you have it mounted to your headphones?

Re: Can I adjust the virtual pivot point of the track clip
Mike,
I have added an image. As you can see its the cap mounted Trackclip. The way its mounted on my headphone is quite a bit further back than it is on the brim of a cap. I'm assuming the software has a fixed offset for the virtual pivot depending on whether you select the the TrackClip or the Pro. Is there any way to enter this manually? I would be nice to have a calibration wizzard to set this up as I'm sure other people mount theirs differently to the standard way. Even just an editable ini file would be great.

York

Re: Can I adjust the virtual pivot point of the track clip
Hello York,
Although it is not optimally placed, it should not zoom when you turn. I think there may be a settings issue that is causing you trouble. I would like you to create a ticket with me at help.naturalpoint.com so we can discuss a few more options.
Thank you for submitting the picture so quickly.

Re: Can I adjust the virtual pivot point of the track clip
Mike,
I've done a quick test with the TrackClip mounted on a Cap vs the Headphone. I did a reset between. You can see with the headphone mount it reads a 13mm forward movement. I'm sure you could replicate this yourself.
I'll open a ticket if you think you can help further but it not a huge problem, I've have been turning off the Z axis to get around this but it would be good to get this axis back.
