Manual Adjust Center Point

I searched the forums as best I could prior to posting this, but surprisingly I didn't find anyone discussion this...

I am primarily using Track IR 5 with Euro Truck (ETS2) and when I'm sitting naturally and centered, I like my view to be zoomed in, as if I'm leaning forward (so I can see the instruments better) and angled down slightly, so I see less of the cabs roof.

I'm accomplishing this right now be leaning back and looking slightly up, then pressing the center hot-key. When I then return to normal sitting position the view looks good, if that makes sense.

Sometimes though I have to do this several times to get the center view just right. Is there no way to manually fine-tune the center point?

Hello remingtonh,

There is no way to redefine the default center position for any game in TrackIR's software. That would have to be an option built or modded into the game. I would suggest going to SCS forums and seeing if anyone there may have an answer. I seen a few mods, but have not been able to test them.

Thanks for the response. I actually, after doing a bit of research, figured out a simple way of modding the field of view in the game, and that solved the issue completely, and provided a better game experience.

I'm loving my TrackIR with my 3 screens, and just received my Track Clip Pro and that has further enhanced the experience.

Sorry for the delay. I'll be happy to do a little write-up about the mod that decreases the FOV to a more mathematically correct value. I have found that as a byproduct of correcting the field of view, the TrackIR becomes easier to center leaving less or no need for manual center adjustments. I have also found that correcting the FOV reduces the distortion in side screens of a triple screen setup, since ETS2 doesn't have a provision for correcting for the angle of triple screens.

Just an update. As of 1.11 update to ETS2, they have included a seat adjustment which solves the centering problem.
