Hello! So, I recently bought a TrackIR 5 last week. I love it, but ever since I installed the device and got it running, it has slowed down certain games to unplayability. I've never had framerate issues prior to this. Anyone know of a fix? Because I want to keep my TrackIR, not return it because it renders games unplayable.
Affected games:
ARMA 3, from solid 60 FPS prior to using TrackIR to 10-20 with TrackIR enabled.
Elite: Dangerous, pauses and lags every 10 seconds.
Rise of Flight, from solid 60 to 5-10 FPS.
Some games seem to work okay, like I've had no problems with DCS.
I always have the software minimized to my tray when I'm gaming, so that shouldn't be what's slowing it down.
My setup is an i5 4670k @ stock, 2x 7950s in CrossfireX, 5760x1080 res.
Thanks for the read!

Re: TrackIR 5 killing framerate, games unplayable
Hello winter azure,
The fix I have used when I see this issue is to alter the priority of the TrackIR's process within the task manager. Open task manager by hitting CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, opening the processes tab, find the TrackIR.exe, right-click the process and select "Set Priority" and move it to high. Test that out and let me know the result.
Regards,
