TrackIR, gone nuts after year good working...

Hiya,

I've used my TrackIR5 for years now with no problem at all. Greatly enjoying it when flying around in FSX.

Since some days however, the calibration goes wild and the camera shows a lot of red. Sometimes it even looks if it seems me...

Examples below:



Nothing has changed since it worked perfectly, some light conditions/angles etc is the same.

Is this a hardware or software (driver) problem?

Looking at the pictures you submitted it looks like light interference or that the camera is failing. If you increase your light filer threshold all the way up, do you still see the red lines across the whole Camera display box?

I'm afraid yes, if differs, sometimes the red-lines or other red area's or sometimes nothing and TraceIR is not responding.

I believe that it is a camera failure and would need to be replaced.
