TrackIR 5 weird issues.

Post by kiwimaddog »

Hi.

I've been using my TIR5 for years now, but after I installed software for the oculus rift(which is now uninstalled and the registry cleaned) is still going on.
The issue I've been having is that there are severe stuttering in all axis when I have the camera plugged in when starting up the 5.2.2 software. IF I on the other hand leave the camera unplugged, start the software and then plug in the camera it works just like it always have. I have noticed that the stuttering is far less severe(but still noticeable) when using 4.2 software. Any thoughts?

kiwimaddog,

I have not seen that happen in this instance. I will see if I can replicate the issue, so I can find a way to resolve it.

When you removed the TrackIR software, did you also remove the drivers and clean the registry? Which versions of TrackIR software did you use?

Hi.

Yes, I uninstalled both the driver and the program and cleaned the registry. I've tried both 5.2.2 and 4.2.039. It's seems to have gotten worse though, Now the camera stutters constantly no matter the startup-procedure and it also seems to be oversensitive to the light in the room. I can shut all the blinders in the room and still get interference when running the software even with the light filter threshold at max.

Well, so for the conclusion.
It appeared that my camera was within in a faulty range of serial#, and after recieving a replacement from Naturalpoint, TrackIR now again works as flawlesly as ever. Thank you Mike for your help in resolving this matter. I now am a forever loyal customer, splendid service!
