Y Axis snapping to side when looking down

Post by MikeT57 »

Hello,

Just obtained this product and am having some issues with the Y axis.
I have the sensor mounted on top of my monitor and my hat reflectors are
centered , 3 green and ready to go.

When I look up, left , right everything is smooth. However when I look down
the scale hits at about 50 degrees and then snaps to the side. I've tried everything but cant fix this..

Can anyone provide a tad of help to a newbie?..

Thanks very much

Mike in Ohio ;)

MikeT57,

Would you be able to snap a couple screen shots of the software? Some of you looking left and right, and then a couple of you looking up and down. I feel that it might be either the camera angle or interference that is causing this issue.

one more thing I noticed is that I see 4 LED lights on the camera looking
back at me... could it be I have the camera sensitivity set too high ???
it only goes spastic when I look down and to each side... the 3 green reflectors off of my hat clip go off camera at that point. I moved the camera up a little from the top of my monitor but it really didnt do too much.

Thanks much! :D

Submitted that help request on Saturday Mike... Say one other quick question...

Is there supposed to be 4 red dots in my Camera looking back at me??.. I know those are infrared sensors but am thinking maybe the sensitivity is turned up to high and they are showing themselves.... if that makes sense??.. Thanks very much

MikeT57,

Sorry about the delay in my response we don't work on the weekends. I gotta have time to game myself once in a while. Yeah, the 4 red dots should be there. They emit the IR light and it is then reflected off of the TrackClip and read by the camera. If you turned the brightness of the IR LEDS up, you would see them more clearly.
