Hi,
we just did a full body recording of about 15 minutes using
- 4 Flex 13 cameras together with
- 12 Flex 3 cameras
- Motive 1.7.2
We recorded 2D, 3D and JT data. The file containing the recording is 4.294.967.296 Bytes (4 GB) large.
Unfortunately we are now unable to open the recording:
Sometimes, Motive just crashes, sometimes it pretends to have opened the file. Then, only the JT entry appears next to the name of the take. The field for time duration says 0.00 secs, total frames says 0.
If I just press the play button, Motive plays exactly 1200 empty frames and shows the camera configuration we used during the recording inside the playback window.
As the recording is important, we need hints on how to open or to restore the data.
Best,
Felix

Re: Recordings cannot be opened anymore (files too large?)
Hello fhuelsma,
Do you know if you are using the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Motive?
Motive 1.7.2 was before some fixes were put in place to make the recording of large files more reliable. We may need to determine if some of Motive1.7.2's limitations are the reason your file is now unusable.
Could you please open a ticket with us at help.naturalpoint.com?
This will allow us to better troubleshoot your issue and determine or next steps.
Best regards,
Steven

I just created the ticket. I can provide the information on 32/64 bit as soon as I am back in my office.
