Hey Everyone,
I got TrackIR 5 for Christmas and I am trying to use it with FS2004, but I am running into FS crashing to desktop after TrackIR is being used there does not seem to be a set amount of time it takes for it to crash, but it crashes the sim at some point I was able to make a takeoff and get into cruise before it crashed during one attempt and just now was trying to do cockpit setup and it crashed while still on the ground.
I installed version 5.3 of the TrackIR software, have it running in the background while FS is running per the manual, pointed the installer to put TrackIR-2002.dll file into FS's modules folder, it doesn't seem to want to work otherwise and put the old modules entry into the fs9 config file to prevent that incompatibly message. What am I missing? I have tried reinstalling the TrackIR software twice with no changes.
Thanks,
Jared

Jared,
Would you please provide me with a list of your computer specs, as well as what programs you use for anti-virus or firewall?

Mike,
I will post the PCs tonight, hopefully, but I don't have any anti virus programs running that I know of.

Mike,
My PC's specs are as follows....
HP
Windows 7
AMD A8-6410 APU processor with AMD Radeon R5 2.00 Ghz
8 GB RAM
I believe the processor is a quad core processor and as before as far as I know there are no anti virus or firewall programs installed or running.

Jardx,
Are you running any addons with the software? I've had some packs interfere with FS2004 and TrackIR.

Mike,
The two add ons I've tried running TrackIR with is Wilco's ERJ version 2 and Eaglesoft's Citation version 2 and Active Sky Evolution, weather importer, I got the ERJ into the air prior to the crash to desktop and FS crashed to desktop during the cockpit setup in the Citation.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? I do not want to use Track IR if its going to crash FS.

Jardx,
I've looked into this and cannot find a reason for the crashes. Is anything showing up in your event viewer after the crashes?

Mike,
I honestly didn't even think of looking there, let me play with it normally and see if it crashes again and if so what the event viewer has to say.
