Well like many before I tried the new update now it fails to find some file. I've had problems with you're updates before, especially when new. So I wanted to go back to old version but the new web sight does not have old versions. So I give your new website a "F". I had to do a system restore to get back to old version. Not touching it again. The old version works fine.
Thx, but no thx.

rollie,

I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble with your software update. There was a minute fraction of users that had any issues and the issues were promptly addressed. Did you reach out to our support team for a resolution? There hasn't been an issue that we couldn't resolve, and response time was under 18-24 hours. It would have been less if they didn't have to let us go home to sleep.

I too just had issue with the 5.3 software not detecting my TIR5 unit.

This appears to be because I didn't un-install anything from my 5.2.200 setup beforehand. I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

To get it working again with the 5.3 software I had to:
  1. Un-install an old 'Track IR 5' entry in 'Programs and Features', presumably left over from the prior 5.2.200 install.
  2. Un-install the 5.3 'Track IR 5' entry that was also in 'Programs and Features'
  3. Un-install the "NaturalPoint USB Drivers x64' entry in 'Programs and Features'
  4. Re-run the 5.3 installer, this also re-installed the USB Drivers.
I note that during the first install of 5.3, when I still had 5.2.200 present the installation of the USB drivers rebooted my machine without me asking. This was an orderly shutdown reboot not just a hard reset, but was still unexpected. This reboot did not occur when I followed the procedure above.

Yes have to agree with you, it would have been nice to at least be able to have a link to the earlier drivers.
Unfortunately I did a format of my HDD and some how my backup of the TrackIR driver folder did not save and was empty. Having problems now with the new driver which I did not previously have.

knightal,

The issue you are having is game specific and is also the first time we are hearing about it. I am looking into it right now, but no one has been able to reproduce it. The 5.3 software works fantastic in Elite: Dangerous and as far as anyone can tell there is no reason for the 'esc' key to not function within. I see that you have made a support ticket and we will troubleshoot through there, find the cause and ultimately the solution to this issue.

Greetings: I too just downloaded the update 5.3.0 and now the thing will not work. I did try the fixes suggested in the forum, uninstalling the software including the usb drivers, rebooted and reinstalled but still does not work. Up until now it has worked great.
I thought I would just throw my two cents in the hat. Will wait for the forthcoming patch.
