TrackIR camera showing two solid red status lights

Haven't seen this happen before (had it for 5 years now). Just turned on the software to play some CloD and both the status LEDs are coming up bright red. In the camera settings I can't adjust status or IR LED brightness, and the camera can pick up some faint tracks but only from the light coming off the status LEDs, the main IR LEDs don't appear to be emitting. Two orange LEDs supposedly indicate that the camera/software is paused but pause is off and these are clearly red. Pausing does turn on an extra status LED and pauses input. Have tried updating to latest software, 'safely removing' the trackIR device through the OS first as well as running the software in Administrator mode. Out of ideas at this point.

Which version of the software are you using? Could you let me know more about your computer specs?

Current TrackIR version is 5.4.2.27545

Current setup includes:

• Intel i5 4690 @ 3.50GHz
  8GB RAM
  AMD R9 290
  1 SSD, 1 HDD
  Logitech G27 Steering Wheel
  Thrustmaster t.flight HOTAS X joystick

The camera booted normally for about 2 minutes yesterday, responded to settings changes in the TrackIR application, could adjust status light brightness/IR Brightness, then it went into this red lights state again.

When in the red light state TrackIR can see through it, but the IRLEDs are off and range is limited beyond reasonable use. It can pick up other light sources and the status LEDs turn off from red in TrackClipPro mode but I don't have a working proclip. If I try to adjust LED brightness in that mode the red lights come back on.

I'm still having this problem. At times the TrackIR5 will work, at other times it wont. The red error lights persist if I turn status LEDs off, and when the red error lights are on, the IR LEDs remain off.
