I purchased the TrackIR 5 with hat mounted set in late March and had no trouble setting it up. Today, however, it stopped working completely. I had recently tried tweaking some settings, i.e. to allow me to look behind me in cockpit view, but had done nothing else to settings or hardware.
I noticed that the camera felt very warm to the touch and that a phantom red band appeared in the view just below the three dots in the set up fields. The three lights that normally were green also turned red shortly before the thing packed up completely.
I have tried rebooting the computer and restarting the TrackIR software. No response. I also do not see any lights on the camera itself, where I would previously see a red or green light on the face of it.
I have reviewed the forums and not seen an answer. Any suggestions?
