Reducing overall sensitivity

Post by bytesguy »

Hi all, I have recently bought track ir 5 with the pro clip and it is brilliant. The only issue I have is with the sensitivity of it. I find that when I am using my wheel clamped to the desk that the wheel makes the desk shake a little, which in turn makes my monitor wobble slightly causing the sensor to go with it - in the game this translates to my "head" flying about everywhere ;)

Is there a simple way to make track ir less sensitive to small changes in movement without making it really sluggish to respond? My monitor stand is quite flimsy so it is not easy to change this, other than maybe trying to mount the sensor elsewhere.

Thanks

bytesguy,

If you go into the advanced settings menu in the TrackIR software you can create deadzones, so it doesn't move about as wildly with small movements. You can also lower the speed a little bit to see if that helps. Another solution is to mount the TrackIR above the monitor so it isn't impacted by the feedback of the wheel.
