Just did all of the above and it's still crashing. It did look like it was going to work for a second since part of the UI showed up instead of a white window but it still crashes. Gonna go through and try a second time.

UPDATE - I've gone through the processes at least five times and nothing's changed unfortunately.

UPDATE #2 - I got it working by running Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode. I then rebooted into regular mode and installed the latest nvidia drivers. I then rebooted again and the trackir software seems to work now. I had previously uninstalled my drivers and rebooted/reinstalled. Which didn't work. Whatever display driver uninstaller did got rid of my crashing issue.

Heh, a couple years ago with a prior Windows update, Mike had to go into my system remote, and after spending 2 hours, he couldn't find what was causing TiR5 to not work - very frustrating when Windows does this, and in that case I reformatted and hoped for the best, which did work.

I just built this new system a few months ago, new Broadwell E with 2 1080s/SLI and piles of other stuff on the new m2 drive and SSDs I've installed - SO much stuff I didn't want to lose.

I spent a couple hours trying to get TiR5 to work again after yet another Win10 fiasco (creators, they should call it destroyers if you ask me, assholes, I'd like to carpet bomb that entire Redman Campus somedays). Went through the first steps in the first posts, then the 12 stepper programs, and was getting scared when it didn't work either. Ahha, I did get the partial screen of the TiR program just like the previous poster, so I took his final advice and used driver sweep (I'd already reinstalled GPU drivers 3 times by this point, so why not 4, right) in safe mode. After reinstalling everything again, that finally worked. So it's absolutely something in the GPU software, Win10 Destroyers edition did something. Death to Microsoft!!!!

Thanks for all the time everyone took to post, I hope these fixes work for everyone else too.

Mike,

I fixed this by reverting back to a clean install of nVidia drivers 376.33. TrackIR is not the only app affected by the nVidia drivers 381.89 nvoglv32.dll crash. At this point I don't know if it was either the driver install or the Win 10 CU update that caused my problem.

The most common app that is affected is 3D modeling app Sketchup 2017 and when I send them a crash report I get a webpage that they are working on a solution. If I hear back on this I will let you know whether it's the nVidia driver set or something else.
