Diminished Sound

I just received my TIR3 Pro yesterday� loaded the drivers and hooked it up� and let the games fly� first with FS2004 which was unbelievable with the VE kit!

I cranked up PF and when I was in the virtual cockpit mode, it seemed as if the sound diminished� not sure if this is just a perception� I certainly have not recorded decibels by any means, I was really more curious if this had happened to anyone else.

I checked all my sound settings in the game, and all of the settings were set correctly and FS2004 sounded great.

I have not heard of this before. Is it only in PF that this happens?
Do you have PF as a stand-alone or joined with IL2FB and ACE?
Have you installed all the official patches?

Hey Wayne -

I am running all AEP + PF combined, not a stand alone... after playing around with it a little more this weekend, I believe this is Ubisoft issue and not NP.

BTW - I impressed all of the friends that came over for the SuperBowl party with the TIR3!

I haven't heard back from Ubisoft yet... I will keep you posted.

On another note, a buddy of mine came over and I let him play with the TIR3 Pro.... he bought one yesterday (I believe it was)... so another TIR comes to Yorktown, VA!!!

Duke it is not hard to be impressed when you see it in action, especially if it is in your favorite game.

I took the plunge blind as there was not a lot of information about back then. I remember reading a small article about it and thought it might have some use but I was mainly sceptical about TIR. When it arrived and I pluged it into IL2 I could not stand it, I was all over the place. Then I found here and took the advice that was offered after I explained what was happening..

I do not regret taking the plunge back then and TIR has come a long way since then, my monitor looked like a Darlek with the TIR stuck on the end of a ruler on top of the monitor (the range was a bit limited back then ).

Now if a sim does not have TIR support then it is not a sim to me as I cannot go into IL2 or GTR with out it. Now all that is needed is for TIR to break into the main stream

Thanks for the update, I am curious to hear about this one.
I have not been able to identify any sound issues yet with my home system.
