Map center key to Joystick?
Is there any way to do this? F12 does it, but I'd like to map it on a joystick key.
I use the bundled software that comes with TIR2.
And also, if anyone has a PF/IL2 profile that I could start up with, francis.ducharme@gmail.com
Thanks!

Re: Map center key to Joystick?
OPen up your profile that you want to map your button to. Goto Hotkeys and click on the function that you want to map, then select the button you want.
You will need the latest version of the software/driver for it to work.

Re: Map center key to Joystick?
I can't use the latest software, I have TIR2. I tried to do it with v3.13 and it doesn't react to a joystick button when redefining Center key.

You're saying there's a way to map F12 on a joystick button?Greetings DM,
What Haza was trying to say is you must use your JOYSTICK software to 'program' a button on your joystick to be like pressing the F12 key.
Using the NaturalPoint software only allows you to map to a keyboard key. You must emulate that key press with joystick software to get it to work with a joystick button.
Nemmie would like to know what joystick you have, that will lt us know if you have a "programable' joystick, or just a standard 4 button or whatever.
Hope this clears things up,
-WWBrian
EDIT: Actually, possibly good news DM, I was looking around this site at the different driver versions, and saw this --
4.0.024
(posted March 30, 2005)
Changes
Added X-Plane support
Fixes
Rolled back the 6DOF sticking fix due to issues
Direct X button mapping fix
I use the 4.0.022 that came on my CD, but perhaps these drivers will let you use a joystick to map your centering view through DirectX instead of joystick software. Might be worth a try.

Re: Map center key to Joystick?
Yes, our latest software allows for Direct X mapping. You can go into your TrackIR software and change the hot keys to actually recognize a joystick button. Easy to do and works great. No keyboard emu needed.
