Hello:

This is a GREAT video. Really shows off the trackIR well.

In an upcoming release of our web site we will be adding in an area for people to post links to videos that they have done, just like yours, that show off our product. Can't wait to add in the this link.

PS. Have you had any trouble getting a higher frame rate, like 30 FPS through FRAPS? What is the target frame rate you are running FS2004 at? The way we have been making some small videos is to just record the SVideo output digitally and then compress it with Windows Media 9, which gives 30 FPS, but doesn't look as clean. Just trying to come up with the best way to make track videos. Also, can you make a track file with FS2004?

If you want the absolute "best" way to make videos, you going to have to spend a little money. There really is no good software method to making videos.

You could record a track in the games that allow it, then replay it at a very slow speed and capture it then.

Or you could get an ATI All In Wonder card (The new 9800 smokes!) and set it up for dual monitor. The second monitor being a DV recorder. Then pass the DV recorded video (you can record it live as you play) back through the ATI AIW card to any movie recording software.

I've tried many methods of software recording but nothing works up to the standard that I would like. But, I am a perfectionist so that kinda hurts things.

I simply use a Amd xp 2400 1 gig machine with
Fraps 2.0 capturing as a i fly, then use windows movie producer to compress teh video down from its large 3 gig output at a 4:1 ratio.

What video card are you using for the FRAPS capture? Can it do 30FPS? That would really show how smooth the trackIR can be.

if you read the credits at the end of the Film it displays the hardware i use that is sent to me by the vendors.

I used a 9800 Pro 128mg at Full Detail settings and i run at around 40-50 FPS. the bad side of doing movies with fraps is that it causes your cpu to do double duty, so during the filming i get around 20-30 FPS.
