Blimey, now I know why they wore silk scarves

Post by Bader »

I am still spending more time disorientated than in control (maybe the deadzone will help, and I need to train my head a bit more), but in BoB you are so likely to get bounced (there are always about 5 Luftwaffe aircraft to each RAF) that you spend your whole time nervously scanning behind. My neck is actually hurting after a twenty minute flight. Just as in 1940. An unexpected bonus, I suppose. ;-)

Are you using the absolute mode with the dead zone option? I find that most of the absolute options work great.

Yes, I am thanks. It works very nicely indeed and is way smoother than Mouse emulation. I seem to have to select enhanced mode each time I fire up the TIR software, but other than that no problem.

It's taking me a little while to train myself but this is rapidly becoming very natural. Far better than using my thumb to look around.

I am not sure I am in enhanced mode because when out of the game, ie in the gui etc the cursor reacts to my head and I understand it shouldn't.
It works fine in Il-2 FB , but in BOB I am struggling. I have followed the .pdf manual on how to make a "sim..deadzone " profile.
Any ideas?
