Track IR4 with usb extension

I rearranged my desk and had to get an extension cable to reconnect my track ir4 to the computer. I use the ir pro track clip. Now the track ir doesn't work. Is there a distance limitation the cable used on the system?

It might have enough electrical resistance that your computer can't power both the camera and the clip through the extender. You might try a powered USB hub (not an unpowered one).
