Hello John,

1) You dont need to un-install any of your mouse software. Just remember to install your NaturalPoint software before you plug in your camera.

2) You will be able to use both your normal mouse and your SmartNAV. If you wish to use your mouse for a while then just click the F9 key and this will pause your SmartNAV.

3) Yes the hotkeys can re-programmed and you can still use your switches.

I hope this helps

One more question to add.

1) are the size of the plugs that the switches use the headphone jack size (1/8"?) or the smaller phone headset size (3/32?).

Thanks,

John

Hello John,

The socket is 1/8th"

If you have ordered the EG model then you will have a Y cable with your unit.

If you use a stero plug then that will allow you the use of the dual channels for example a dual foot pedel.

If you are using a mono jack then you can use the Y cable to connect two single mono jacks to the Y cable.

If you need any further info, then just let me know.

I see, the Y cable splits the two channels for use when two switches/plugs are desired.

I am making a couple of switches and this is helpful, thanks.

A few questions

Post by Oatmele »

I'll be using an EG package soon and have a few questions.

1) is it necessary to uninstall my current mouse software (logitech) before installing your software.

2) aside from conflicts (if software uninstallation is not necessary), I'm interested to know if it is easy to go back to using my regular mouse on occasion. I'm guessing that the mouse and the smartnav can not be plugged in at the same time, going from one to the other?

3) lastly, if I'm not mistaken, I can use switches as well as hotkeys (at the same time, programmed for different functions), correct?

Thanks,

John
