TrackIR 5 / Vector clip

Post by jillian.smythe »

Spix_W wrote:Hello everyone,
I'm using TrackIR 5 since 2015, I still enjoy it, a lot
I use Vector clip, over the years I had different headphones, I used some tape to fix the Vector Clip, never had issues
Recently I purchased new headphone ( for music not for gaming ) and I don't know how to stick it on top of the headphones
Could anyone give me some advices, please ?
Here are the headphones ( Dan Clark E3 )
Thank you in advance
Hi Spix_W,

My apologies - your post was inadvertently disapproved. I am recreating it here so I can provide some feedback. Is the vector clip you are referring to the TrackClip (three reflectors that usually clip to a hat)? I looked up the headphones and it looks like they may be about the same width and curvature as a baseball cap. Is that accurate? If so, you may be able to clip them to the headband portion the same way you would with a baseball cap. If your clip is broken beyond repair, please note that we do sell replacement clips separately: https://www.trackir.com/accessories/.

Yes, the Vector clip
I'd like to put it on top of headphones, as you can see in the images of Dan Clark E3

There are two metal tiny bars. I have absolutely no idea how to fix it there
That's why I decided to ask here.
Thank you in advance

Hello Spix_W,

Is the band below the two tiny bars too thick to attach to? I'm not sure what function the bars serve - are they only for aesthetics, or do they have a purpose? I would verify this before doing anything that might interfere with their function. I have no experience with this particular headset, so please note that anything you do is at your own risk.

If it is safe to mount to the bars, then you may be able to rig something up that would extend between the bars (it would need to flexible enough to curve and rigid enough to hold its structure), and then attach the clip to that. That may keep the clip from spinning around as I imagine it would if it was on just one of the bars.

Kind Regards,
