Is my track IR 4 dead?

I have a track ir 4 #61096

I Haven't used it in more than a year, today I tried to use it to take on flight sims again but it seems to be dead?
I use a track clip pro and the IR led are on when checked visually
I have downloaded and installed the latest software 5.5.3.317

the trackIR camera part :
It is detected in windows with the connect and disconnect sounds
It is detected in trackir software
The leds are not on even if I put them on fullbrightness in the software
If I "pause" the tracking the red central top led come on
The camera is slightly hot to the touch will plugged in

But the TrackIR doesn't see the clip pro at all.
There is no movement detected.

Is my camera dead?
Did I miss an obvious thing?

UPDATE :

When I switch the tracking target to trackclip I get the 4 IR leds on the camera to light up
However I still cannot get the camera to see either the trackclip or the track clip pro. I even tried 2 different trackclip pros.

on the trackir software window on the bottom right "STATUS" panel I get the left light on and the other two are off

Ok after a look at the other forums I reverted to software versioon 5.4.2 and it fixed my issue

Hello NINJAMC,

I'm glad to hear that your camera is working using 5.4.2. As you noted from other forum posts, the TrackIR4 is discontinued and no longer supported, so the newer versions of the TrackIR software may not work with that model.
