Ouch!!! Installed new update

Ruined my nite! 3hrs later....ok..5hrs.......still won t upload or run and see the camera ...
Ruined my nite ...and it aggravated me too!

Tried unistalling current drivers ...lost my launcher and camera!
Then I deleted all of them. Oh noooo...big mistake.....tried fresh installs 59x....no launcher now!??????? W.da. ????
Very frustrated by then..tried re installing older ones but they wouldn t launch either :/ ..even tried the restore thing....right....nope..that app is not there now???? What???????
Recovery feature is no longer available??????? Really??? I m sure i saved it....apparently I tried to,, but was unsuccessful.....ohhhh yaaaaaaaaa....poop is the feeling az I tried abit tiday...hoping you guys at TRACK IR posted an easy peasy fix....

Hello Cgfisher,

Would you please confirm whether you are using a TrackIR5 or a TrackIR4? Please note that support for the TrackIR4 has been discontinued, and 5.4.2 is the latest version of the TrackIR software that will work with that model, as of this post.

It sounds like there may have been some file that was inadvertently deleted or corrupted in your attempts to reinstall the software. It may be a Windows file, rather than a TrackIR-specific file. I would make sure that you currently have installed the latest version of the C++ Redistributables (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/w ... w=msvc-170), and that you have removed all traces of the TrackIR software before you try installing it again. Are you getting a specific error when you run the installer?

If you are still having trouble, you may need to try using a Windows Restore point or doing a Windows repair.
