TrackIR 5 + MSFS24 = not working

Seen posts on this already but none solve my issue.

Track IR works fine. Its on the latest version 5.5.3.317
TrackIR shows movement, using the proclip i can move around the wireframe UI in the app and i can use it fine in Elite Dangerous
MSFS24 simply displays the left green LED but the right one that should come on when the game starts never does.
TrackIR is enabled in the game
Clicking "Update Games" gives me an error that it cannot connect to the update server. I have no anti virus or firewall, i have windows defender, turned it off to no avail. Nothing is stopping this connection.
MSFS24 shows up in the "Titles" tab of the app anyway, so updating the game would likely not solve the problem. So i guess i have 2 issues...I cannot update games and MSFS24 does not work with TrackIR.
Running TrackIR app as administrator stops all games from working, even Elite which works fine without this option.
Running MSFS24 in or out of administration mode makes no difference.
App is opened before opening game.
Trackclip does not work either.
App repair did not help
App reinstall did not help
PC restart did not help

Totally out of ideas, so any help appreciated.

Topic still not been approved for some reason but just an update. Turns out i was glancing at the game list, i have Flight Sim 2004 not 2024, so the issue seems to be i cannot update games from the server to get FS2024, hence why 2024 does not work. No idea how to get the updates to the game.

Hello Noctover,

Due to the high volume of spam, all posts must be manually approved before they will show up in the forums. We did have a server issue over the weekend that prevented users from updating their GamesList. This has since been resolved. If you haven't already, please try to update your GamesList and then run MSFS2024 again.

I tried multiple times today and i cannot update my Game List because i can't connect to the Server
