It’s been several years since I played with the IL-2 games, and my old computer died. Recently got a new rig and I’m trying to set this up again.
I have the TrackIR3, and I downloaded the appropriate software and the Vector Expansion.
So… I can look left and right and up with no problem, but not down. As soon as I try for the cockpit view it gets all squirrelly and starts breaking up. On the graph, my tracking stops pretty much at the horizontal line.
I’m assuming I need to adjust one of the vectors, but which one?

Hello Bikewer22,
Have you tried switching to Camera View in the TrackIR software to see if the reflectors or LEDs on your TrackClip (or Tracklip Pro) are being detected when you are looking down?
Kind Regards,

Re: Not getting full tracking
I did adjust the device and got the green dots from the “clip” centered, and that did improve things. I was able to get the “cockpit view”, or at least most of it.
But, the next time I fired up the game, everything went all “jittery”. I couldn’t get ANY view reliably. I tried unplugging the unit from the USB port, and that helped temporarily, but again it went back to jittering all over the place.
I spent about half an hour last night playing with the position of the unit…. Not much help.

Hello Bikewer22,
When everything was jittery, did you verify whether there was any video noise when switching to Camera View? You may want to try using the older version of the TrackIR software, 5.4.2. That may work better than 5.5.3 with your specific system.
