TRACKIR stopped working (no leds on)

Suddenly my TRACKIR V5 stopped working. I think it stopped after an update. Now the lights won't come up (the green/yellow light) and the IR leds dont activate. Pressing the F9 key result in the orange lights so that does work.

I uninstalled en reinstalled various times including the driver. But i cant get it to work.

Please help me! I miss my DCS.

Hi jvanijperen,

First, please check to see if the TrackIR 5 is listed in Device Manager under NaturalPoint Devices. If you don't see it but you do see an Unknown Device, then it is likely that the TrackIR drivers need to be linked with that device. You can do this by right clicking on the Unknown device and selecting 'update driver'. Choose the option to 'Browse my computer for driver software', and then Browse to this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\USB Drivers x64\npusbio_x64.

If you do see that device in Device Manager, try putting the TrackIR software in Camera View and checking to see what the camera sees. Make sure you have the correct Tracking Target (either TrackClip or TrackClipPro) selected. If you aren't seeing any green or red dots in the Camera View, make sure your TrackClip Pro is working (you can test whether the LEDs are putting out IR light by pointing a cell phone camera at it). If you are using the TrackClip (hat clip), make sure the reflectors are in good condition and the camera is aligned correctly.
