Can I use my TrackIR 5.1 playing Half-Life 2?
Can I use my TrackIR 5.1 playing Half-Life 2?
I'm not able to find anything about Valve's Half-Life 2 FPS by searching this forum. Although it is not listed in the games list for the Track_IR interface, I was wondering if there is a way I can use the Track-IR while playing it? Is there a way to assign the Track-IR axis motions to make mouse movements, as a sort of generic way to use Track-IR with any FPS game for looking around?

Hello -
The TrackIR comes with a program called "Mouse Emulation" that can be used in conjunction with certain games to get this type of effect. It can be launched from your start menu (the icon is in the TrackIR folder).

Thanks. No plans to get Half-Life2 to be "enhanced" then?

I wish, but unforutnately this type of integration depends solely on the game developer to add. It always helps to let them know you want to see it, but at this point wiht half-life 2 it seems it might not happen.
