Incorrectly identifes modem-software as game

Post by RagnarDa »

Hi!

I have a problem with the TrackIR5.1 software identifying my MobileBroadband-modem software as a game (ToCA Race Driver 2 specifically). The modem-softwares exe is called MainApp.exe but renaming it didnt help. It sometimes helps by restarting everything but what I really have to do to make it work is uninstalling the modem-software (leaving me with no internet connection). TrackIR also crashes when shutting down once it has identified the modem-software. Is there a way to remove the ToCA-game from the game-list (so TrackIR wont look for it) since i don't have that game anyway?

Hmm, I've never heard of that happening. What software are you using for the mobile modem?

The software is called Connect Manager (v. 1.0.0) and came on the ZTE USB 3G Modem (model MF680). It is branded "Tre" or "3" (my internet-provider) if that makes any difference. If i kill the process mcserver.exe (described as "ZTE data card monitor program") then TrackIR disconnects from the ToCA-game but the Connection-Manager crashes.

Could you link to the installer? I'd like to test this out on our machines here to try and replicate the issue.

I couldnt find a installer anywhere on the internet, just updates to the firmware, so I made a Zip of the contents of the USB-drive on the modem that you can download here:

Hmm, yes it seems to do that on my end too, I'll forward this to our TrackIR developer for further study for our next release.
