Setting up aircraft from cold and dark with Trackir 5

Hi guys, just got trackir 5 with hat clip and headphone clip. What i would like to know is when starting fsx pmdg ngx from cold and dark is it possible to get a view to centre of cockpit so as to make it easier to view and click on various switches, buttons etc. Also i find it impossible to look up and set the irs switches to nav. If i can get these issues to work i will be well happy.

Hi yes, i probably don`t have it set up properly. I was wanting to know if when i get it set up correctly can i peform these functions in my topic. If i can i will spend more time getting it sorted.

You certainly should be able to. Looking around, centering view, pausing, and zooming are core functions of the TrackIR system. Let us know what you need help with and we'll do our best to assist you!

Hi thanks, i downloaded a couple of profiles and tried them the main issue i seem to have is when trying to get pmdg set up from cold and dark. When i look up and try and set pause it does`nt work ive set my centre pause etc via keypad ie 1, 2, 3, 4. I have ezdok as well i was thinking of installing that software and setting up overhead views so i can get to the irs switches and co-pilot side.

Does this sound feesible.

Hmm, try toggling key trapping for those hotkeys in advanced settings. Additionally, it sometimes helps to launch both TrackIR and the game by right clicking on the icons and selecting "run as administrator" instead of double clicking them, sometimes windows permissions block this.
