I am flying an early sim which does not have a mouse view and so there is no facility to use TrackIR.
However, I notice that in the Cougar programming, there is an " Advanced Mouse programming Wizard."
Does this allow you to program so that when the mouse is moved the view moves correspondingly?
( If so, I can see that Track IR could therefore be implemented.)
Experts - Over to you please!!

Experts - Over to you please!!Very interesting idea, but I don't think it would work with TrackIR. Granted I haven't done much mouse programing with the Cougar but as I understand it, it would move the mouse for you like TrackIR already does. It doesn't react to the mouse input or another program (TrackIR) moving the mouse. But you can still do some amazing stuff with the Cougars mouse programing. This is why I really pulled for keymapping to be fixed in GX, for older games and more flexibilty. Without it you'll only probably be able to use it in the latest sims (which IHMO, aren't always the greatest hehe). What sim are you trying to get to work in?

Snake S!
This is RedBaron 3d- Brilliant now with the promised land patch and the Glidos patch.
This is a reply from Cougar World expert.
Really interesting - Comments?

Nope: if there's no mouse-pan then you won't get any mouse-pan via the Cougar's mouse-functions either -
but AFAIK the TrackIR also can use the common KEYPAD-views, right ?
Of course you'll only get a pan if the game itself handles these views as panning -
if it only supports snap-views, then of course you won't get more than these snap-views !
Cheers

Re: Track Ir using the Cougar programming?
I just threw Red Baron 3d back on my hard drive, I agree it's great with the Glidos drivers! Without a mouseview we can't use TrackIR in a game right now so all the great old stuff is left in the dark.
