I have had enuf with IL2s substandard PL system and am lookng for an alternative. THis seems to be the best solution. Still have a few small questions tho If anyone would like to field em.
What is the preferred method
mouse or key stroke to pan in IL2 using TIR
I saw tracks but could really tell if the user was mouse panning or emulating keystrokes...the positions seemed top make abrupt stops as if using keys but the degrees moved didnt seem the same.
in the buying mode
Re: in the buying mode
Preferred method? Mouselook definitely!
About the jerkyness of trackIR..dunno about that..
The way i use trackIR is like this: I want to move the view into a certain direction. I simply move my head into that exact direction then i stop moving my head and the view abruptly stops. Is that the abrupt stop you're talking about?
In any case here are some trk's you can check out. Most of them can be viewed from the trackIR point of view. All were made with trackIR.
The 1.1 version trks are compatible with 1.2:

Re: in the buying mode
Mouselook is definitely the way to go. I was wowing some folks today with a demo of the trackIR's mouselook in IL-2. And, support in IL-2 should only get better...
