Problem using TrackIR

I�ve been having experiencing some problems using TtackIR :

The picture is twitching and sometimes freezing .
�Hot key� is not working, except �pause�.
If �key activated� is ON the TrackIR completely not functioning.
After one movement left or right and back to center the image is not returnable back to center.
Is it possible to assign �Hot key� on the joystick push button?


My computer has AMD Athlon 1800 XP + 512 DDR 2700 + 60GB Had Drive +Ge Force4 Ti 4200 64MB+WinXP

Depends on your joystick. I use the Saitek X45 with the Saitek software. I have assigned my pause button, center button, and F3, F1 to center views to one of my POV hats.

If your joystick has software that you use to make profiles for games, then yes, you can map those keys to it.

Not sure if this is the culprit, but I recently changed my setup (placement of IR source) resulting in moving it about 4" closer to my face. Now my views are freezing at various positions.

I was told by another user that if the IR source was too close to the dot (ie.: your face) that these freezes would result. I have a post in another part of the forum asking for help on this situation.
