Distance question
Hello. I am considering purchasing a TrackIR 5 but I had a question. I know the typical usage scenario is desktop and monitor, but mine is a little different and want to make sure the product will work correctly. I use my 48" tv as a monitor in my bedroom and my head is roughly 8-10 feet from the tv where the TrackIR would be mounted. Will the unit operate properly at this distance? I am also slightly offset to the left of the centerline of the tv by about 2 feet but I would imagine this could be tweaked in the setup. Any information that can be provided would be most appreciated. I have recently got back into flight sims and this product has always been on a my wish list. Thanks in advance.

Re: Distance question
Hello. The optimum distance between the user and the TrackIR is 24-36 inches. Using the TrackIR within this range will achieve the best balance between range of motion and tracking precision. We recommend having no more than 4 feet between the reflective target and the front of the TrackIR. The USB cable for the TrackClip Pro and TrackIR is about 6 feet long.
