trackIR 2.01 Final

Post by Halstead York »

Hello-
The trackIR 2.01 final is now available here.

Note that in addition to the fixes listed for the public beta, we have also chosen to add IL-2 FB view limiting as an interim solution while Maddox Games prepares the next major patch for Forgotten Battles.

Is the view limiting an option or a set feature?

With 2.01 final Charlie251 its not a option to turn on or off, the Linda Blair 6 view is disabled full time.

I hope it becomes a option and Oleg gives the 6 view to mouse users and lets it be a option to switch it on or off so that online gamers who setup servers can have the choice.

If Oleg disables it all together Ill doubt ill paych my Il2 FB as I really like the 6 view, I also for now wont be using the 2.01 final because of that point too.

But I commend the TIR team for offering a fix for those playing online and didnt want to have the advantage over Mouse/Hat users.

I will not be updating my TIR software any further as well until the feature is removed. The community was half and half on the issue, and therefore I belive that the update should have had the option. If NP would be so kind as to re-compile a new version of its 2.01 that does not limit the view, then I will upgrade.

Seeing how NP has always been very diverse and trying their best to cater to every ones desires, I see this lock down as a step in thye wrong direction (sorry guys).

Can you compile a second version of 2.01 without the view limiting or am I done updating my software

Charlie just stick with the 2.01b that they released not long back as you can still use the 6 view, no need to upgrade to 2.01 final untill you need it for a game that 2.o1b doesnt support or features you want that get included in a future version.

If you dont have 2.01b i can put it up for you to get.
