Getting coordinates from one marker?

I am looking to get 2d coordinates from a marker in real time..what API is best suited for doing this and is there documentation I can look at?

If there isn't support for just one marker, would I need to use 3 markers and define a "rigid body"?

The Camera SDK would be best suited for this.
