I have just uploaded the latest upgrade version of IL2-MAT Manager (v2.32). I would have liked to do more in the time available but I wanted to release the new version before I leave for vacation. I have decided to release the new version as an open beta and this gives me a few days before leaving to iron out any bugs. Please see below for the upgrade information as it appears in the readme file supplied with the upgrade.

IL2-MAT Manager v2.32 UPGRADE Installation instructions and changelog.

Version 2.32 upgrade includes all files and program changes included in previous upgrade versions 2.21, 2.30 and 2.31.

This is NOT a full program and requires that you have IL2-MAT Manager v2.20 or later already installed.

The zip file contains two installers. One installer will add new MAT and TGA markings files required for correct opperation of v2.32 and the other installer contains new program files.

It is most important that you run BOTH installers.

Because this upgrade contains new markings options you will find when you run the program for the first time after installation of the upgrade files that both your current markings selection and your saved markings selections have been re-set to default values. I regret that this is un-avoidable as the .ini files used by the program contain new entries for the new markings options introduced in this version. I have however saved a markings setup which you can load in by clicking on the "Load" tab on the top left of the program screen. You can then change any options to suit your preferences.

In the interests of making life as simple as possible, avoiding the neccessity of un-installing and re-installing the program and also to keep the download as small as possible v2.32 can be installed directly on top of your previous v2.20, v2.21, v2.30 or v2.31 installation.

Changelog v2.32.

1. New Dutch numbering option. When enabled this will replace the aircaft numbering when selecting "NL" as the nationality with a white four digit (B-391 etc.) code system historically used on Dutch Buffalo type 1 aircraft. Note: as all NL "nationality" aircraft share the same MAT file grouping the new numbering codes will appear on all aircraft types. There is a new check box near the Japanese numbering option where the new Dutch numbering option can be selected/de-selected. There is also a new check box located in the Randomised Numbering section of the GUI where you can select randomised or non-randomised numbering for the new Dutch numbering. Note: historically speaking the numbering sequence started at B-395 but I have chosen to start at B-391 so that, when the non-randomised numbering option is selected aircaft number "1" will be replaced with B-391, 2 with B-392 etc.

2. Numerous inter-related program code changes regarding the operation of the 3rd Gruppe symbols, Stab markings, Escuadrilla Azul and Jabo/Lettering/Numbering options. These correct a few anomolies in their operation which has become apparant after the recent introduction of the fast program exit code. A couple of examples of these corrections are the display of correct "Gruppe" symbols for Gruppen Stab aircraft when also selecting alternative Bf-109F/G2 3rd Gruppe symbols, correct letter "A" now displayed on the 1st aircraft of the 1st staffel when selecting Bf-109/Fw-190 Jabo or Lettering options.

3. I have changed the previous "bomb" type symbol to the "black triangle" symbol which now appears on Bf-109e/7 aircraft when the "Jabo" option is selected.

4. It is now possible to select both Escuadrilla Azul and Jabo options simultaneously. This allows Jabo markings to appear on Bf-109e4, e7/b, e7/z and most models of Fw-190 as well as Escuadrilla Azul markings appearing on Bf-109f and g models when the 4th Gruppe is chosen in game. If you wish to see the five Escuadrilla Azul squadron emblems then please select the following units: IV/JG300, Stab JG300, IV/JG301, Stab JG301 and Stab JG77. When you de-select the Escuadrilla Azul option, these units will revert back to their correct emblems where they exist.

5. Added the "S7" geschwader coding used by Schlachtgeschwader 3 (SG3) in both small size and large size variants.

6. Added weathered and un-weathered, large and smalle sized unit emblem files for the 10th (Pz) Staffel of SG3.

7. New Dutch numbering is automatically selected when the "Pacific Early" Tab is selected.

8. Default Dutch numbering automatically selected when selecting any of the Chinese markings in the Dutch National markings drop down box.

9. Re-written code for randomised numbering options and UK re-positioned lettering option to work correctly with fast program exit code and also revised I-16 aircraft group randomised numbering on 2nd-4th eskadrilya randomised numbering.

10. Large scale D1 coding re-positioned on Stuka and He-111 aircraft to avoid cut-off under balkenkreuze.

11. Added new font options for RAF Buffalo 1 squadron codes in re-positioned and non-repositioned options.

12. Added 5 new national markings options: Egypt (Modern type), Israel, Iraq, Jordan and Syria.

Edit: LOL, Just like Oleg I always forget a couple of things.

Additional:

13. When you select Jabo or Lettering options the Gruppen Stab markings will for the Bf-109e/Fw-190a aircraft group will automatically change to "White 1/White A".

14. When you select the new Egyptian modern markings options (which appear in place of Japanese markings) the number style will revert to game-default Japanese numbering from and Hikoku-dai numbering selected.

15. The program icon will still say v2.20 but the actual program version (v2.32) appears on the GUI.

Important Additional Information.

The program installer included is a later version which, when run, will upgrade your program version to v2.33 rather than v2.32 as mentioned earlier in this readme file. Version 2.33 fixes two bugs in v2.32 concerning the correct display of extra weathered German and VVS national markings (balkenkreuzes/Hakenkreuzes and red stars).

If you are upgrading from v2.20, v2.21, v2.30, v2.31 then run both of the installers included in this download. If you are running v2.32 then you only need to run the v2.33 program update installer.

For simplicity the download zip file is still the same as for the recent v2.32 release but it includes newer IL2-MAT Manager program files.
