Solved Windows 10, TrackIR and Prepar3D v2.5 (1.2946) issue

Dear all,

going through the forum, and I couldn't find a solution on how to fix the issue that TrackIR was working, but not recognized in Prepar3D 2.5 (w/ fixpack to 1.2946)

The issue with TrackIR itself running in Win10, is solved by following Xzans brilliant solution, but in order to get Prepar3D to recognize TrackIR you'll have to install the FSX SDKs bundled in the installation.

Easiest way is to follow the guide from that PMDG uses for their software as shown below:
(ps: your folders might not be exactly the same as shown here, but the installation files should be easy to find)

1) Navigate to this folder:
<P3D root folder>\redist\FSX-RTM\lib

2) Run the SimConnect.msi installer file inside the folder.

3) Navigate to this folder:
<P3D root folder>\redist\FSX-SP1\lib

4) Run the SimConnect.msi installer file inside the folder.

5) Navigate to this folder:
<P3D root folder>\redist\FSX-SP2-XPACK\lib

5) Run the SimConnect.msi installer file inside the folder.


This works for TrackIR, ASN, PMDG +++
