Hi Razor, I've just added those lines to my config file, started up FS2004..and..the usual error message still came up. Everything works fine after that, but it's just a bit annoying isnt it ?

Hmmm. Well, I am not a programmer or anything technical, I just took the advice on the FAQ page at Flightsim.com for the game.
It worked for me and can't understand why it wouldn't work anywhere else..it's the same software..but alas...software can seem finicky at times.

I added that line at the very beginning of the file.

[OldModules]
TrackIRFS2004.dll=1

Let me ask you this. When the error message comes up Microsoft reference the file? in this case the TrackIRFS2004.dll file located in the Modules directory?

If this doesn't help, then I have no other ideas.

The msg is supposed to be fixed in beta 5 (just relased) but its not working and has been posted in the beta forum, the plan is to get rid of the msg that pops up before final release.

Hi Razor, yes, the file is in my modules folder, but I'd typed those 2 lines at the end of my config file...so..I have since moved them to the start..but I'm still getting the error.
Oh well, I'll just have to wait for the final release. People are obviously hard at work trying to solve it.

Incompatible Aircraft/Software Message

The message that you get when starting FS2004 about Incompatible Software/Aircraft can be fixed this way.

Before I get to it..I thought this latest beta build was supposed to address this? Or am I misinformed?

Anyway, for those of you with FS2004 try adding these lines to your FS9.CFG file.

[OldModules]
TrackIRFS2004.dll=1

This addition removed the message upon loadup with Flight Sim. I suspect you can add the name of any other .dll that is giving you trouble that you know is safe.

Good luck!
