TrackIR 5 cannot load a profile help?

Hi all,

Im new to the trackir world ,

Ok so i have purchased TRACKIR 5 and i am using the trackclip on my baseball cap, the unit seems working ok in game but i want to load a custom profile that i downloaded from DCS website, and i have placed this in the `Profiles` folder as the required, but it does not appear in the `advanced` tab profile drop down list so i cant use it??

Also id Trackir affected by background light?

Any help appreciated

Using win 10, 64 bit btw

It is likely that you are putting them in the program files directory, but when using 5.3 your profiles are stored in a different location. Profiles are stored in the directory "%AppData%\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles".

Yes the TrackIR is sensitive to background lighting, but you can combat that by adjusting the light filter threshold in the advanced settings section.
