Windows 7 can't recognize TrackIR 5 device

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. I bought TrackIR 5 and TrackClip Pro a week ago - it's awesome! It worked on the first try, easy to calibrate etc.
Then on Friday, it just stopped. I think a Windows update might have intervened there, but I'm not certain.
Now my device is just black - no red camera LEDs, no green connection LEDs. When I plug it into my computer, having now tried every USB port I possess, I get no lights.
- I've reinstalled the software and drivers a dozen times over.
- I get an Unknown Device in my Device Manager.
- I've tried every permutation of installing the drivers - listing the drivers on my machine doesn't show a NaturalPoint section, and I can't find it anywhere. Aiming it at the npusbio_x64 folder says it can't find a supported driver there.
- Connecting the device to my wife's computer it's also unrecognized; I haven't yet tried installing the software on her computer and seeing if it works there. She's on Windows 10 x64.
Any help would be appreciated!
