Hello,
I have recently bought a Trackir 5 and have noticed a problem with the tracking on it. The tracking pauses for a split-second whenever it passes over the x or y-axis. I am unsure whether this is an unintended issue or simply a limitation of the tracking hardware.
Any reply would be greatly appreciated, apologies if I have made my issue unclear in this post in any way, shape or form.

Iunno,
Is it happening no matter where you are looking or just at the main intersect of x and y? It could be a deadzone that slows tracking to help provide a more stable view when looking forwards.

The pausing is happening whenever the tracking crosses the x or y-axis at any point on the axes, not just at the main intersect of x and y. How would I go about about adjusting the deadzones of the axes if that is the problem that I'm having?
Thanks for the reply

Iunno,
I'm going to try and replicate this with my dev watching so we can see if there is an easy solution for you. Could you send a video of the issue? It may help.

Iunno,
If you look at the pitch and yaw axes you will notice that there are actually three dots in the middle (See attached picture) that form a flat line.
Now, if you take the first pair of dots next to the center point and move it up it will increase the scaling at those points and help eliminate the deadzones on those specific axes. You can also move the center point up a little so it never truly rests, but that can create problems when looking forward.
