I am using TrackIR 5 with FS2004 on Windows 7. Both programs are being run as administrator. It was working great for several months, and now it will sometimes stop working, with the TrackIR program crashing to desktop. There are no error messages, and FS2004 seems unaffected, apart from the loss of TrackIR movement.
When I try to restart TrackIR, it starts up, and the TrackIR software will track my head movements correctly. It will not reconnect to FS2004 unless I restart both programs. Even then, I am sometimes forced to restart the computer entirely.
Any ideas? Is there a way to force reconnect TrackIR to the game?

iang77,
Sadly no. The way that they opted to integrate TrackIR has made it so the TrackIR must be started prior to the game launch. If it is running at all, the TrackIR will not communicate with it. Unfortunately if you have a crash or software issue mid-flight then you need to restart both.
