Suppose you have falcon4 + 1.08 update. What do you need to get trackir to work. There are so many files around, RealismPatch xx, SP patch xx,BMS.exe etc etc.
I've owned F4 since it was released but never went beyond the offical patch. I've been to various F4 web pages, and I can't find an 'entry point' that says 'start here - do this'.
The recent lockon demo bought back memories of flying jets ( been il2-ing the last few years) so I want to try F4 again - but as I say I don't know where to begin.
TIA for any pointers.

Re: New to Falcon (more or less)
Well you need Falcon4, then the 1.08 patch, then the SP3 patch and then the "BMS-exe" (any version after .7)
If you want you can also use the free falcon2 patch, the installation sequence would then be f4->1.08->sp3->ff2->bms

Re: New to Falcon (more or less)
Thanks for replying. I got it to work - after figuring out I had to run bms.exe rather than the desktop icon - I thought bms.exe was a patch - doh.
Although the head-tracking is nice, bms.exe makes all the graphics really blocky - looks worse than it did 5 years ago. When I run it thru falconsp3.exe (or whatever) it looks as nice as it ever did - better even, with anistropic filtering.
