Settings in Old Software vs New Software

Post by Axe_78th »

Greetings,
I have used Track IR for 1.5 years and cannot fly without it. I use it in both IL-2/FB and EAW. I had my settings (speed and smoothness) set perfectly for me. I used the axis speed for both X and Y set to 23 and smoothness on 120. Perfect for me since ver 1.21 of the software. I'm having a bit of trouble getting my speed right in the new software. How do the new scale/numbers relate to the old software? You all will call me crazy but I'm not sure if I like the enhanced mode as well as mouselook in FB. It's nice to be able to look around with the map up but I guess I had gotten so used to Track IR that I don't like the dead zone. Even when I set it linear it still doesn't "feel" like it does in mouse look. And the mouselook in the newer software doesn't "feel" as smooth as in the old. For example I can look at something, toggle pause and look away and my view will stay where it is with I toggle the tracker back on. Of course it doesn't do that in enhanced mode.Track IR replaced snap views for me. I do not use it 100 percent of the time, I do use it totally instead of snap views. I actually have the old version 1.30 installed at the moment, can you believe it? LOL

I can believe it.

Because initially it was like that for me too in FB. But i quickly found some reasonably nice settings that have almost the same responsiveness like mouseview.

I quickly found out that i don't like deadzone either, it's gotta be direct, no delays. so i chose a linear setting, i grouped the X and Y axis and adjusted the speed to 30 (smoothness to 120). That works for me.
