Trackir locking onto the y and x axis in DCS

whenever i look forward, the track ir will lock onto the y axis and will require me to move my head further to the left or right for it to start moving again. This is very frustrating as it ruins the smoothness of track in general. I cannot find any updated methods of fixing this, all help is appreciated
